1. Who we are and scope

Checkup is provided by DEV IT LLC, a United States limited liability company. In this Policy, “Checkup,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to DEV IT LLC and the Checkup services it operates.

This Policy applies to the public website, Checkup accounts and workspaces, the Checkup Agent, Checkup mobile applications, support and sales communications, and other interactions that link to this Policy. A separate customer agreement or data processing addendum may govern particular processing.

2. Our data protection roles

DEV IT LLC acts as a controller for information used to operate accounts, administer subscriptions, secure and improve Checkup, respond to requests, and meet legal obligations.

When a business customer submits device, operator or other Personal Information to Checkup for processing under its instructions, DEV IT LLC may act as that customer’s processor or service provider. In that situation, the customer determines why the information is processed and its agreement with DEV IT LLC controls the processing.

3. Personal Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Checkup and which features your organization enables. It may include:

  • Account and identity information, such as name, work email address, organization, country, role, login details and workspace membership.
  • Commercial and billing information, such as plan, billing region, transaction status and related records. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored directly by this website.
  • Workspace and device information, such as station, batch and operator identifiers; device model, identifiers, operating system, storage and battery information; diagnostic, grading, IMEI, Blacklist, Carrier Lock and supported erasure results; notes; and processing history.
  • Communications, including demo requests, support messages, feedback and other information you choose to provide.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, application events, error and security logs, and interactions with the services.
  • Location and preference information, such as the country or region used to select data hosting and other service preferences you provide.

4. How we use Personal Information

We use Personal Information only for legitimate operational, contractual and legal purposes, including to:

  • Create, authenticate, administer and support accounts, workspaces, stations and authorized users.
  • Connect supported devices, run requested checks and preserve the resulting device and processing records.
  • Provide regional hosting and configure services according to the selected account region.
  • Process subscriptions and transactions, administer plan limits and maintain business records.
  • Respond to sales, support, privacy and security requests and send service-related communications.
  • Protect Checkup, customers and users; investigate abuse, fraud, errors and security incidents; and enforce agreements.
  • Maintain and improve performance, reliability, accessibility and product functionality using aggregated or appropriately protected information where practical.

5. Legal bases

Where European or United Kingdom data protection law applies, our legal basis depends on the context:

  • Performance of a contract, including providing an account, requested diagnostics, subscriptions and support.
  • Legitimate interests, including securing, operating and improving a B2B service, preventing misuse and communicating with business users.
  • Compliance with legal obligations, including accounting, tax, sanctions, court orders and valid government requests.
  • Consent, where required for optional communications, non-essential storage technologies or another specific purpose. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

6. How we disclose information

We may disclose Personal Information only as reasonably necessary to provide and protect Checkup or when required by law, including to:

  • Infrastructure and hosting providers that support the selected United States, European Union or United Kingdom region.
  • Payment processors, including Stripe for supported self-service subscriptions.
  • Providers that support communications, customer service, application delivery, monitoring and security.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers and authorities where necessary to protect rights, comply with law or respond to valid legal process.
  • A buyer, successor or relevant advisers in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, reorganization or sale, subject to appropriate protections.

7. Regional hosting and international transfers

Checkup offers regional hosting in the United States, European Union and United Kingdom. The initial region is selected during account setup and account data is intended to remain in that region unless a different arrangement applies or disclosure is legally required.

Some service providers or business operations may involve access from another country. Where required, DEV IT LLC uses contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers. Customers should review any applicable data processing addendum for the terms governing customer-controlled data.

8. Retention and security

We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide Checkup, maintain required business and security records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with law. Customer-controlled records are retained according to the applicable plan, workspace configuration and customer agreement. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove limited copies from backups or records that must be retained.

DEV IT LLC uses administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and customers remain responsible for managing authorized users, credentials, devices and lawful instructions.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may have rights regarding Personal Information. We may need to verify your identity and may refer a request to your organization when we process information only on its behalf.

Applicable rights may include:

  • Accessing or obtaining a copy of Personal Information.
  • Correcting inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Requesting deletion, subject to contractual and legal retention requirements.
  • Restricting or objecting to particular processing.
  • Receiving portable information where the law provides that right.
  • Withdrawing consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
  • Complaining to a competent data protection or consumer protection authority.

10. Children, changes and contact

Checkup is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to create accounts. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information, contact us so we can review the issue.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in Checkup, law or our practices. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.

Privacy questions and requests may be submitted through the Checkup Contact page or by mail to: DEV IT LLC, Attn: Privacy, 1818 Library Street, Suite 500, Reston, Virginia 20190, United States.
